A mono-varietal oil, pressed solely from Koroneiki olives. The flavour harmonises notes of apple, freshly cut grass and a gentle peppery kick!

Many oils out there are labelled as EVOO even though only a proportion of the content is actually Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Single Estate

Our family, with generations of experience of the region, land and trees, take care of the whole production process throughout the year – pruning the trees, managing the land, gathering the olives and overseeing the oil production and bottling. The quality is assured “from tree to table.”

Harvesting

The olives must be picked at the right time and processed within hours of picking at a high-quality oil mill.

We collect the olives in large hessian sacks that allow them to breathe during transportation to the oil press. This reduces acidity and improves the flavour.

Cold Pressing

The oil is extracted by a single cold pressing of the olives within hours of them being picked. There is no additional second or third processing of the pulp, which is often done in the production of plain olive oil or olive pomace oil. One squeeze. Good stuff.

Mature Trees

Our trees are over 70 years old. Some are even older. All are in the prime of their lives!

Olive trees can live for hundreds of years.

Low Acidity

Our oil is subject to extensive chemical analysis every year. Strict European standards must be satisfied for any olive oil to qualify as Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO). Examination shows that our oil is naturally very low in oleic acid, peroxide value and K270 UV absorbance.

No wonder it tastes so good.

Our Story

Our grandfather Thomas Papagiannopoulos took over this grove in Achaia 100 years ago.
Since then they have been managed by successive generations of a our family.

During the Nazi occupation of World War II, our family would have starved had it not been for their olive trees. They literally lived almost exclusively on the stuff.

The name, Kyklos, means circle or cycle in English.
It invokes the circle of life and the cycle of the olive tree through the seasons.

One of humanity’s first managed agricultural products, and certainly one of tastiest and most versatile,
olive trees have been cultivated continuously for over 5,000 years in Greece.

A Perfect Location

Our Achaia groves are located at a latitude of 38 degrees north of the Equator on the foothills of a huge mountain range on one side with the Gulf of Corinth on the other. There is plenty of warm sun, the soils are exceptionally fertile from rainwater flowing down and depositing nutrients. The microclimate that is created by the combination of cooler mountain air tempered by the warm gulf is perfect for olive trees.
